Research
CINJ is one of the nation’s leading cancer research facilities. Our research programs and core facilities enhance and support the activities of over 250 faculty members. The research base of CINJ is organized into eight programs: Molecular Mechanisms of Tumor Growth; Cytokines, Cytokine Signaling and Cancer; Transcriptional Regulation and Oncogenesis; Cancer Pharmacology/Developmental Therapeutics; Breast Cancer Research; Prostate Cancer; Carcinogenesis and Chemoprevention; and Population Science. CINJ continues to expand its foundation of knowledge and the technical tools with which rapid advances can be made in understanding the mechanisms of cancer. Opportunities to manage the disease have increased and clinical research studies have yielded results that will have a profound effect in the prevention and treatment of many cancers.
