Overall Goals:
The Clinical Investigations Program is structured to encourage maximum scientific interactions among clinical and laboratory investigators at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ). The resulting interactions facilitate rapid movement of laboratory discoveries into clinical trials and conversely clinical observations into laboratory investigations by focusing on specific programmatic goals
Specific Aims:
- To develop and validate therapeutic approaches translated from the basic science programs of the center.
- To clinically develop novel agents, modulation of existing agents, and combination therapy into early clinical trials.
- To validate biological and clinical activity of preventive agents in early clinical trials.
- To develop and deploy multi-center clinical studies through Cancer Center, Consortium, and Cooperative group structures.
